This mural is one of the great examples of street art we have around Detroit.

So it’s Wednesday, and I promised a reveal. The photo below should explain. 
The first picture in this post is of a mural on the side of the Matrix Theatre, an arts and cultural organization on Bagley in Southwest Detroit that runs all kinds of cool programming for children and adults. The kids in its School of Theatre create original plays that incorporate puppets they help design and make.
The artwork on the side of the building was created by an artist named Jen Boyak; it’s called “Never Stop Dreaming.” The shot below shows more about who else was involved.
What I like about the artwork is its bold color at left, and the way it dissipates into the brick, which is spotted with three-dimensional flowers. The look on the girl’s face is priceless; how many times have you seen your own kids make that same face while doing the exact same thing?
